"Ajman tourism, culture and media" Organize an event "We are in love with Kuwait"
Ajman, February 2, 2017 (WAM) – The Department of Tourism, Culture and Media in Ajman organized the “Running for the Love of Kuwait” event, a community sporting event that constituted a distinctive initiative that celebrated the depth of fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Kuwait.
The event was held under the auspices of the Union Water and Electricity Union and in cooperation with the Ajman Government Media Office in Al Safia Park in Ajman, with the participation of more than 500 contestants of various ages and levels.
Through this sporting event, which came within the framework of the “UAE and Kuwait Brothers Forever” initiative, the department aimed to enhance human communication and highlight the role of sport as a bridge for rapprochement and building relationships between peoples.
His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, Director General of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Information in Ajman, confirmed that the “Running for the Love of Kuwait” event confirms the department’s commitment to supporting national trends that strengthen the strong fraternal ties between the UAE and the State of Kuwait, through initiatives that embody its commitment to consolidating cooperation between the Gulf countries.
He added that the department is continuing its endeavor to establish the foundations of a society that stimulates a healthy and active lifestyle, in line with its goals and the aspirations of the Emirate of Ajman.
It is noteworthy that the “We Run for the Love of Kuwait” event was held as part of a series of community, cultural and sporting events organized by the department, to celebrate Emirati-Kuwaiti relations, enhance the emirate’s role in supporting national initiatives, and consolidate its position as a prominent tourist destination at the state level.
