I hope to finish the first division season better than Balotelli

Fujairah Club’s first team player, Frenchman Sander Benbachir, revealed the strength of his team’s chances of competing for promotion to the ADNOC Professional League next season, stressing at the same time that the season is still long and requires continued tactical discipline, stressing that he hopes to end the season superior in level and goals to Italian legend Mario Balotelli, who recently joined Al-Ittifaq Club.
Benbachir pointed out that the competition to snatch the two boarding passes is limited to eight teams: Al-Fujairah, United, Al-Arabi, Dibba Al-Hisn, Al-Dhaid, Hatta, Al-Orouba, and Al-Emirates, which are close in points between 21 and 27 points. Benbachir, the top scorer in the First Division League, also explained that he often celebrates scoring goals after matches by taking a walk in the beautiful places in the city of Fujairah, especially on Umbrella Beach.
Sander Benbachir said in statements to “Emirates Today”: “We have every opportunity to advance this season, but the challenge is greater compared to last season, given the presence of strong teams that have clearly strengthened their ranks and set advancement as their main goal.”
He added: “I hope to be an influential element with the team, and I believe that I am currently having one of my best seasons on a personal level, whether in terms of the number of goals or influence on the field, but the season is not over yet. “I feel very happy when I help the team by scoring goals. However, winning remains the most important thing, even if it is achieved without me scoring.”
Benbachir is considered one of the most prominent strikers this season, after he succeeded in scoring decisive goals that put him at the top of the scorers’ rankings with 15 goals, in addition to his contribution to playmaking and leading the team’s offensive line.
Regarding international names joining the league, such as Italian Al-Ettifaq player Mario Balotelli, Benbachir said: “I am happy to have a player of Balotelli’s caliber in the competition, and I hope to finish the season ahead of him, even if he joined late.”
Regarding his scoring 15 goals in the first round of the tournament so far, which is a rare number compared to previous seasons, and his success in escaping severe defensive supervision, he said: “I have become accustomed to special supervision on the field, and that no longer surprises me, but rather pushes me to provide the best.”
