Japanese voters go to the polls in early legislative elections

Japanese voters went to the polls this morning to choose the House of Representatives in early legislative elections, in a move expected to strengthen the position of the Liberal Democratic Party led by Prime Minister Sanae Takaishi, who has been in office for about three months.
Polling stations across the country are scheduled to close their doors at eight in the evening local time, and vote counting will continue until late at night.
Majority "Liberal Democrat"
Opinion polls indicate that the Liberal Democratic Party may regain its absolute majority in the House of Representatives, which consists of (465) seats, while the alliance with the Isshin Party may enable it to win more than (300) seats, giving the ruling coalition a broad mandate to continue its economic and social policies, enhance political stability and support government measures to limit the effects of inflation.It is estimated that the elections may consolidate Takaishi’s position and give her a broad popular mandate to continue her domestic policies. And the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a way that enhances the stability of the government after a period that witnessed rapid changes in the country’s leadership, as Takaishi is the fifth female prime minister in five years.
