The absence of students tomorrow and the day after without an official excuse will be counted as double absence

Several school administrations have confirmed that the absence of students tomorrow and the day after, February 9 and 10, without an acceptable official excuse, will be counted as double absence. School administrations stated, in a circular addressing students and parents, the details of which were reviewed by Emirates Today, that according to the approved academic calendar, Monday and Tuesday are considered regular school days, during which the educational process continues as usual, with an emphasis on the need for all students to commit to attendance and school discipline.

The departments explained that the mid-semester vacation will begin on Wednesday, February 11, and continue until Friday, the 13th of the same month, for a period of three days, provided that studies will resume after that according to the specified schedule.

The administrations confirmed that absence during Monday and Tuesday without providing an official and acceptable excuse is counted as double absence, and accordingly, warnings and reminders must be made in order to ensure the interest of the students and avoid any academic consequences.

Regarding tests, the administrations have made it clear that no test in any academic subject will be postponed during this period, unless an approved medical excuse is available, provided that the excuse is sent via the WhatsApp application according to the approved channels.
