The administrations of a number of second-year schools stressed that forgetting the project file hinders the evaluation process, as the grade cannot be monitored without it, stressing the importance of the male and female students’ commitment to bringing the scientific project file, the project guide, and its tools.

Four academic subjects
The schools explained in letters addressed to parents and students, seen by Emirates Today, that the second semester depends mainly on project-based learning and assessment in 4 main subjects: mathematics, science, English, and Arabic.

Skills development
School administrations explained that this educational approach aims to develop students’ scientific research skills, teamwork, and creative thinking, through implementing educational projects related to reality, according to a clear and specific evaluation mechanism.

Project file

Weights and standards
The departments also confirmed that the projects will be evaluated according to the approved weights and standards shown in the attached project-based learning guide, which was provided to parents, and includes a comprehensive explanation of the evaluation mechanism, the stages of project implementation, and the role of both the student and the parent in supporting this educational experience.

The necessity of commitment
The schools called on parents to monitor their daughters’ commitment to the project classes, and to ensure that they bring the required guide and tools on the days specified for each subject, in addition to urging the female students to complete the required tasks according to the specific role of each student within the project team, in a way that enhances the values of responsibility, discipline, and cooperative work.
