The Abu Dhabi 2026 Masters Games provide a living model for bringing communities together

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, said in a blog post on his account on the (X) platform: “I witnessed part of the Abu Dhabi 2026 Masters Games competitions at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), where more than 25,000 male and female athletes from 92 nationalities compete in 38 games.”
His Highness added: “Sports are a way of life, and this tournament, which is being held for the first time in the region and continues until February 15, provides a living example of how sports can bring people together and bring communities together… We are proud of the volume of participation and the distinguished organizational level of the event, and what it reflects of our country’s ability to host the largest events, and to consolidate its position as a global destination for community sports in a way that enhances the quality of life.”
