Casemiro, 34 years old, said after the Brazilian team lost to France 2-1, in statements to The Athletic website: “I still enjoy playing for Manchester United very much.”

Casemiro, who played for Real Madrid for a decade, praised Carrick and his influence on him since he took over as coach of the team on an interim basis, succeeding Ruben Amorim.
