Huge sums…disclosure of the financial prizes for the teams participating in the 2026 World Cup

FIFA revealed the financial prizes that will be received by the 48 teams participating in the 2026 World Cup finals scheduled in America, Canada and Mexico during the period from June 11 to July 19 next.

FIFA said that the world champion will get the lion’s share of the prize money of $50 million, the runner-up will get $33 million, while the third-place finisher will get $29 million, and the fourth-place finisher will get $27 million.

As for the teams that reach the quarter-finals (from fifth to eighth place), they will receive $19 million for each team, while the teams that are eliminated from the round of 16 (from ninth to sixteenth place) will receive $15 million.

For the teams that exit the group stage (from 17th to 32nd place), a reward of $11 million has been set, while the teams that leave the tournament early (from 33rd to 48th place) will receive $9 million each.

It is noteworthy that seven Arab teams have officially qualified for the World Cup: Morocco, Jordan, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Algeria, and Egypt, with the possibility of the Iraqi team joining through the global playoff if it skips the match with Bolivia on the first of next April.
