The Federation Cup highlights promising talents in UAE judo

Member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Judo Federation, Chairman of the Clubs and Academies Committee, Issa Musa bin Howiden, described the gains achieved by the Federation Cup Championship for Judo Buds, which was recently held with the participation of 20 teams, as important, especially the active participation of players from private academies.
Bin Howiden told Emirates Today that the tournament produced several important gains, most notably the discovery of promising talents capable of representing the national teams, in addition to the positive participation of the academy teams, stressing that its strong presence alongside other clubs contributed to raising the level of technical contact between players and enhancing the culture of competition and discipline, noting that such tournaments constitute a basic foundation in building a strong base for judo in the Emirates.
He added: “The tournament witnessed distinguished participation from clubs and academies, which reflects the extent of the development witnessed by the game at the level of early age groups,” praising the vital role played by clubs and academies in refining talents and developing players’ skills from the early stages.
Bin Howiden pointed out that the UAE Judo Federation continues to support age group competitions and talent discovery programs, which contributes to preparing a new generation of players capable of achieving achievements and raising the country’s flag in continental and international forums, stressing that the tournament has produced important technical and organizational gains that will reflect positively on the future of the game.
