Announced The Municipality of Jeddah Governorateannounced the adoption of its integrated seasonal plan to welcome the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr for the year 1447 AH, placing food safety, raising the pace of compliance with municipal requirements, and improving the urban landscape at the top of its priorities, coinciding with the high population density witnessed by the governorate and the influx of large numbers of pilgrims and visitors during this blessed period.

The plan is based on intensifying direct field oversight work on All commercial and public health facilities, with a special focus on activities closely related to Ramadan consumption. The secretariat carries out intensive and regular inspection tours that include markets, major commercial centers, the waterfront, and the city’s main axes, in addition to all vital sites that represent attraction and gathering points for residents and pilgrims.

A broad campaign on the food sector

The secretariat stressed that the success of the plan is based on strengthening the principle of integration between various The competent departments, so that each executive body works within the scope of its jurisdiction in complete harmony, which ensures raising the efficiency of field performance, the sustainability of municipal services, and achieving the highest standards of public safety, especially in sites associated with Umrah routes and active tourist traffic.

With regard to Public cleanliness, the secretariat explained that it has developed flexible operational plans that ensure maintaining the cleanliness of roads, markets, public facilities, and gathering sites, while quickly addressing any effects resulting from increased movement during the season. These efforts aim to ensure rapid response and prompt removal of waste, in a way that reflects the civilized appearance of the city and enhances the comfort of residents and visitors.

With regard to environmental sanitation, the plan includes intensive efforts to combat public health pests and disease vectors, most notably the vector of dengue fever, by targeting mosquito breeding sites with scientific plans to reduce the densities of aquatic and adult stages. The Municipality also continues its strict field work to combat the phenomenon of street vendors and illegal stalls through joint committees that work to address observations in frequent locations, to regulate commercial movement and protect public health.

The Jeddah Governorate Municipality concluded by issuing a call to residents and visitors to the need to cooperate with it in making this plan a success, by immediately reporting any violations of municipal or health requirements through the “Baladi” application or communicating with the Unified Center for Reporting Service 940, stressing that the partnership Community is the basic foundation for improving the quality of life during the holy season.
