“Sharjah Executive” approves the start of the study of the “air taxi” project

This morning, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired the Council meeting, which was held in the office of His Highness the Ruler.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Council extended its highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council of the Union, Rulers of the Emirates, and Their Highnesses the Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers, the people of the Emirates, and all Muslim men and women on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, asking God Almighty to bless the month. Virtue and good deeds are accepted.
The Council discussed a group of general topics related to the conduct of government work, and discussed the general policies of government departments and bodies, and their role in achieving the vision and strategy of the Emirate of Sharjah.
In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide a decent living and support the Emirati family, the Council approved the first batch of 2026 beneficiaries of residential and investment lands, numbering 1,200 beneficiaries, distributed across all cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah. The number of beneficiaries of residential lands reached 490, while the number of beneficiaries of investment lands reached 710 beneficiaries.
The Council approved the start of studying the modern air transport project, which includes “air taxi” fares and freight in the Emirate of Sharjah, as the project comes to consolidate Sharjah’s position as a major center for air connectivity between cities, and in line with global trends in sustainability and future technologies, and in cooperation with the best global partners.
