Cooperation between my chambers" Abu Dhabi" and"American trade" To enhance investments

ABU DHABI, February 22nd / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum of cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce, to enhance investment opportunities, exchange experiences, and consolidate communication channels between the business communities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the United States of America.

According to a press release issued today, the memorandum comes in light of the strong economic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the United States, which is one of the largest trading partners of the Emirates globally, as non-oil trade between the two countries has witnessed continuous growth in recent years, supported by the expansion of cooperation in the sectors of technology, energy, advanced industry, financial services and health care.

According to the latest data issued by the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics, the volume of non-oil bilateral trade in goods reached 111 billion dirhams (equivalent to $30.2 billion) during the first nine months of 2025, achieving an annual growth of 10.2% compared to 100.7 billion dirhams (equivalent to $27.4 billion) recorded during the first nine months of 2024.

The UAE hosts thousands of American companies operating in various sectors, while mutual investments are witnessing continuous growth that reflects mutual confidence in the business environment and economic opportunities in both countries.

This memorandum comes to contribute to enhancing this momentum and providing an institutional platform to support the growth of joint investments and expand the scope of cooperation between the private sector in Abu Dhabi and the United States.

The memorandum of cooperation aims to expand areas of cooperation in trade and investment, transfer knowledge, exchange information about markets and commercial legislation, organize economic events, exchange trade delegations, develop joint programs for training and capacity building, facilitate the participation of companies in international events, in addition to providing a common platform to support companies and enable them to expand into new markets, which contributes to the development of sustainable economic partnerships and opening effective channels of communication between the two business communities.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Ali Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Steve Lutz, Vice President of Middle East Affairs at the US Chamber of Commerce, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.

Al Marzouqi said that the signing of the memorandum represents a new stage in the process of strengthening economic relations with the United States, as it comes within the framework of the Abu Dhabi Chamber’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships, support the expansion of the private sector into global markets, and open new horizons for economic and investment cooperation, especially since the United States is a strategic economic partner for the UAE, and we are confident that this partnership will open broader horizons for Abu Dhabi companies to benefit from investment and commercial opportunities, and enhance the exchange of knowledge and expertise in a way that supports business growth and enhances its competitiveness in the market. Global level.

For his part, Steve Lutz said that the memorandum reflects our commitment in the American Chamber of Commerce to strengthen cooperation with our partners in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, and we look forward to supporting American and Emirati companies alike to explore new opportunities in the fields of investment, technology and trade, and to strengthen ties between the business communities in the two countries in order to achieve sustainable economic growth.
