"Humaid Bin Rashid Center for Qur’an Service" He launches the “Proficient in the Qur’an” initiative for non-Arabic speakers

Ajman, February 23, 2017 (WAM) – The Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Center for Holy Qur’an Service yesterday launched the Maher Circles in the Qur’an initiative for non-Arabic speakers, as part of a series of Qur’anic initiatives launched by the Center during the holy month of Ramadan, in an effort to serve all segments of society, especially non-Arabic speakers, and connect them to the Book of God while enabling them with correct recitation and intonation.
Muhammad Hussein Al-Mandhari, Head of the Qur’anic Education Department at the Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Center for Service of the Holy Qur’an, said that the Center is keen during all months of the year, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan, to launch initiatives that strengthen the connection with the Book of God, the most prominent of which is the Skilled in the Qur’an initiative, which enters its third year this Ramadan.
He explained that this initiative gives community members a real opportunity to correct their recitation and master the pronunciation of the Arabic letters, whether for native or non-native speakers, noting that the program’s episodes are held between the Asr and Maghrib prayers on Saturday and Sunday, in three mosques distributed in different regions of the Emirate of Ajman in a step aimed at reaching the largest possible number of participants.
Al-Mandhari said that the initiative witnessed a large turnout during the previous two sessions, as the number of participants last year exceeded 800, indicating that this year the center aims to reach a thousand participants.
He stressed that the Skilled in the Qur’an initiative is not just lessons in recitation, but rather a space to make an impact, enhance awareness, and build a society that is proficient in reading the Qur’an correctly, helping it to contemplate and relate to the Book of God in this holy month.
