“Joud” is a Ramadan initiative targeting young people with prizes amounting to 37 thousand dirhams

The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the “Ajyal” program of the government of the Emirate of Ajman, revealed the details of the “Joud” Ramadan initiative, which targets the emirate’s youth in the age group (11-24 years), with total prizes amounting to 37 thousand dirhams, to enable them to design and implement community initiatives with a tangible positive impact that contribute to serving society and strengthening its cohesion, in line with the directions of Ajman Vision 2030 aimed at building an interdependent and sustainable society.
According to the timetable for participation, registration continues until Ramadan 15, 2026, provided that the initiatives are implemented during the entire holy month, and documentation and documents are submitted before Ramadan 15, while the results will be announced on Ramadan 19, coinciding with Humanitarian Work Day, with emphasis on the importance of adhering to the specified dates to avoid exclusion.
6 main areas
According to the initiative guide, a copy of which was obtained by Emirates Today, the initiative identified six main areas of participation, allowing students to choose the field that suits their interests and abilities, and includes: charitable initiatives that focus on supporting needy groups, social initiatives aimed at enhancing communication and solidarity among members of society, sports initiatives that encourage healthy lifestyles, cultural initiatives in the fields of arts and creativity, and heritage initiatives concerned with preserving the Emirati heritage, in addition to the “Year of the Family Award” for initiatives that enhance interconnectedness. Family and celebrates the role of the family as a basic pillar of society.
Participation requirements
The participant must be a citizen of the Emirate of Ajman, and the initiative must be implemented entirely within the borders of the emirate and its areas to ensure direct local impact, with full compliance with the approved standards and public safety requirements, and that the initiative be documented in a comprehensive, professional manner and that all documents be submitted before the specified deadline, noting that each participant is entitled to apply for only one award to ensure quality implementation and focus.
Evaluation process
The evaluation process relies on an advanced arbitration model that ensures transparency and fairness, as initiatives are evaluated independently for each age group according to criteria that include: the actual societal impact, the extent of relevance to the chosen field, the level of leadership and responsibility, the degree of innovation and creativity, the suitability of the initiative for the age group, the quality of documentation and learning, in addition to the potential for sustainability and future development.
Financial prizes
The initiative allocated incentive financial prizes to the winners according to age groups, at 5,000 dirhams for the category from 11 to 14 years, 7,000 dirhams for the category from 15 to 18 years, and 10,000 dirhams for the category from 19 to 24 years, while the “Year of the Family” award worth 15,000 dirhams was allocated for the best family-focused initiative, in appreciation of the efforts of young people. And to motivate them to continue giving and excelling in serving their community.
Empowering community leadership
According to the guide, the strategic objectives of the initiative include empowering youth community leadership, supporting initiatives with a direct impact within the emirate, encouraging sustainable projects that can be developed, in addition to enhancing the values of giving and responsibility during the holy month, highlighting the pivotal role of the family in building a cohesive society, as well as encouraging innovation and creativity in addressing existing societal challenges through new and innovative solutions.
Invitation to the field
The Ministry called on the targeted students in the Emirate of Ajman to take advantage of this qualitative opportunity, take the initiative to review the conditions and details, choose the appropriate field, design innovative initiatives with a clear impact, and implement and document them in accordance with the approved standards, in a way that reflects the ambition of the youth of Ajman and their effective contribution to serving their country, and consolidating the values of solidarity and social responsibility during the month of goodness and giving.
