Small details prevented Al-Wasl from winning over Shabab Al-Ahly

Portuguese Rui Vitoria, Al-Wasl coach, confirmed that small details prevented his team from achieving victory against Shabab Al-Ahly, in the match that brought together the two teams on Wednesday evening, which ended in a 1-1 draw in the 18th round of the ADNOC Professional League.

Vitoria pointed out that his team was ahead in the score before Shabab Al-Ahly equalized, stressing his satisfaction with the players’ performance despite his aspiration to win the three points.

He said during the press conference after the match: “We faced a strong team like Shabab Al-Ahly. I congratulate the players for this good performance. Although we did not win, we played a good match, especially in light of the short period of work that preceded the match.”

He added that football does not always go the way teams want, stressing that work will continue during the coming period, and considering that the team will be in a better position with more time to prepare.

The Al-Wasl coach also revealed that his team will begin, starting today, Thursday, preparing for the upcoming confrontation against Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia, scheduled for the fourth of next month in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League 2, stressing that the team is awaiting a strong confrontation that requires special preparation.
