“Discipline” punishes a player for damaging Al Wasl Club property

During its last meeting, the Disciplinary Committee of the UAE Football Association took a number of disciplinary penalties against players and clubs, against the backdrop of violations witnessed in various matches in local competitions.
The committee decided to issue a warning to Alvaro de Oliveira, Al Bataeh club player, and fine him 10,000 dirhams, in addition to bearing the repair costs, for damaging property in the host club (Al-Wasl) during his team’s match against Al-Wasl Club at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai, in the 17th round of the professional league, which ended with Al-Wasl winning by a goal without a response.
The committee also decided to suspend Dibba Al-Hisn club player Hassan Abdul Rahman for two matches, and fine him 7,500 dirhams, for speaking out against the match referee in the U-16 league, in addition to suspending his colleague Muhammad Al-Saridi for two matches and fining him 7,500 dirhams for the same violation.
In the same context, the committee punished Shabab Al-Ahly club player Hussein Ali Cozad with a two-match suspension and a fine of 7,500 dirhams, for speaking out against the match referee in the Emirates Under-19 Cup competition.
At the club level, the committee issued a penalty to draw attention to Al Ain Club and Kalba Club, due to their fans’ verbal abuse at the match referee in the Emirates Cup U-21 and U-19 competitions, respectively. It also fined Ajman Club 15,000 dirhams for its players receiving six cards in one match in the U-23 Professional League.
The committee considered Al Ain (B) team a loser in its match against Al Rams Club with a score of 3-0, due to it violating the player replacement regulations in the Emirates Under-19 Cup.
In other decisions, the committee suspended Arab Falcons player Edward Ndeke for four matches and fined him 4,000 dirhams, for assaulting an opposing player without the ball in the second division. It also suspended his colleague Jonjo Shelvey for six matches and fined him 6,000 dirhams, for spitting on the match referee. It also decided to suspend assistant coach Harry George Agombare for two matches and prevent him from accompanying his team, and fined him 2,000 dirhams, for speaking out against the match referee.
