A ship arrives "Mother of the Emirates" Humanitarian aid to the port of Al-Arish carrying more than 7,300 tons of aid to the Gaza Strip
Al-Arish, February 27 / WAM / The humanitarian aid ship “Umm Al-Emarat” arrived at the port of Al-Arish in the Arab Republic of Egypt, carrying more than 7,300 tons of various relief aid allocated to support the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, as part of the continuing humanitarian and relief efforts of the UAE within the “Galant Knight 3” operation, which was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him.” To alleviate the suffering of civilians and meet basic needs in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions.
The ship was received upon its arrival at the port of Al-Arish, by His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Arab Republic of Egypt, accompanied by a high-level delegation from charitable institutions and bodies in the country, as well as the partners of the operation in the Arab Republic of Egypt, where they were briefed on the reception and unloading mechanisms and plans for transporting humanitarian aid to the logistical center for UAE humanitarian aid in Al-Arish.
His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi stressed that the continued flow of UAE humanitarian support for more than two and a half years, through the UAE Humanitarian Aid Team and the Operation Gallant Knight 3 team, embodies the UAE’s firm commitment to standing by our Palestinian brothers, and confirms that humanitarian work is a sustainable and non-stop approach.
The ship’s cargo includes food aid, shelter materials, and health and medical supplies, which were prepared with the participation of 16 charitable and humanitarian institutions from various emirates of the country, within the integrated UAE humanitarian work system aimed at supporting food security and enhancing the urgent humanitarian response to affected families in the Gaza Strip.
The Emirati humanitarian aid team in Al-Arish began the procedures for receiving the ship and starting to unload the aid and transporting it to the Emirati humanitarian aid logistical center in Al-Arish, in preparation for its entry into the Gaza Strip in coordination with the humanitarian partners and the competent authorities, and in a way that ensures the rapid arrival of the aid to those who need it according to the approved mechanisms.
The “Mother of the Emirates Humanitarian Ship” is the 13th ship operated by the UAE as part of the ongoing humanitarian sea bridge to support the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, an affirmation of the UAE’s consistent approach to extending a helping hand and relief to the affected peoples.
