The President of the State and the Emir of Qatar discuss during a phone call developments in the region

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed with his brother Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar, today, during a phone call, developments in the situation in the region and the repercussions of the current escalation on regional and international security and stability.

During the call, their Highnesses expressed their condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks on the lands of the UAE, the State of Qatar and a number of sister countries, stressing that they represent a dangerous escalation that threatens the security of the region, undermines its stability, and is a violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

The two sides also stressed the need to immediately stop escalatory actions and return to dialogue and diplomatic solutions in a way that preserves the security of the region and prevents further escalation.
