Reports about the closure of the Strait of Hormuz… Messages from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to ships

The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority reported today that it had received several reports from ships in the Gulf indicating that they had received messages from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard indicating the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, in light of the escalating tensions in the region.
The authority stated in a statement that the ships reported receiving notifications related to the closure of the strait, without providing additional details about the source or nature of those messages.

In the same context, an official at the European Union Naval Mission “ASPEDS” said that ships receive messages via high-frequency wave from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stating that “no ship is allowed to cross the Strait of Hormuz.”

The official, who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity, added that Iran has not yet officially confirmed the issuance of such a decision.
