The Head of State receives a phone call from the Prime Minister of Albania, discussing the repercussions of the escalation taking place in the region
Abu Dhabi, 2nd March / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received today a phone call from His Excellency Edi Rama, Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, during which he affirmed his country’s condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks on UAE territory and a number of sister countries, stressing that they represent a violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
He also affirmed Albania’s solidarity with the UAE in what it is doing to defend its sovereignty, security, and citizens. While His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks to His Excellency Edi Rama for Albania’s position in support of the UAE.
During the call, His Highness the President and Prime Minister of Albania discussed the rapid developments the region is witnessing in light of the dangerous military escalation there, stressing the need to stop this escalation and avoid expanding the conflict in a way that exposes the region to a dangerous state of turmoil and instability that will affect regional security and peace in addition to threatening international interests.
