We will take all necessary measures to defend our security and stability

The statement issued by the 50th extraordinary meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council regarding Iranian aggression against the GCC countries called for an immediate cessation of Iranian attacks.

The statement stressed that “the security of the GCC states is an indivisible whole, and any attack on a member state is considered an attack on everyone,” and added: “We will take all necessary measures to defend our security and stability.”
The statement continued: “We reserve the right to respond in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter,” while the statement stressed that “dialogue and diplomacy are the only way to overcome the crisis.”
The statement called on the Security Council “to assume its responsibilities and take an immediate and firm stance,” and considered that “Gulf stability is a fundamental pillar of global economic stability,” while praising “the efficiency of air defense systems in confronting Iranian attacks.”
