Abdullah bin Zayed discusses with a number of officials the repercussions of the blatant Iranian missile attacks on the Emirates and sister countries

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed during telephone calls with a number of foreign ministers of brotherly and friendly countries the latest developments in the current regional developments and their repercussions on the security and stability of the region, in the wake of the blatant Iranian missile attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of sister countries.
His Highness held telephone discussions with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Mihai Bobsjoy, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Dr. Konstantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Mauro Vieira, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Brazil, Petr Masinka, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Paulo Rangel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Peter Szijjjjjjjjerto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Hungary, and Dr. Arnoldo Andre Tinoco, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of the Republic of Costa Rica and Kaya Callas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
The communications touched on the repercussions of the continuing escalation in the region, and the serious risks it entails that threaten regional and international peace and security, as well as its negative effects on the global economy and the security of energy supplies.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the ministers strongly condemned and denounced the blatant Iranian attacks on the UAE and the countries of the region, stressing their categorical rejection of these practices that contradict the rules of international law, and affirming the right of the countries affected by the attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their lands, citizens, residents, and visitors.
His Highness thanked the ministers for their brotherly stance and solidarity with the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors in the country.
The communications also addressed the importance of the international community coming together during this critical stage, and working in a coordinated manner to contain tensions and prevent the expansion of the conflict, while giving priority to political solutions, diplomatic paths, and serious, responsible dialogue, in a way that contributes to consolidating security and stability for the peoples of the region.
