Hamid and Rashid bin Ammar witness the conclusion of the steeplechase championship at the 2026 Ajman Government Sports Tournament

Ajman, 5 March / WAM / Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ajman, and Sheikh Rashid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Digital Department, witnessed the conclusion of the Steeplechase Championship, which was held within the activities of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament 2026.

Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi and Sheikh Rashid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi praised the levels of competitors in the tournament in various categories, and also praised the distinguished organization of the event, which lasted over 3 days.

The qualifiers witnessed strong participation in the women’s and junior categories, in addition to the men’s category, amid a competitive atmosphere that reflected the high level of physical readiness and the spirit of challenge among the participants.

The competitions were characterized by enthusiasm and competition, as the competitors took on various tracks that included challenges of speed, strength and endurance, within an integrated organizational framework that provided the highest standards of safety and precision, which contributed to highlighting distinguished levels and qualifying the best elements to the final stage.

The Supreme Organizing Committee confirmed that the steeplechase championship received wide popularity due to the interactive sports experience it provides that combines physical fitness and team spirit, noting that the diversity of the participating groups reflects the success of the tournament in attracting different ages and interests.

The tournament concluded with the finals for the men’s, women’s and team categories, where the competitions witnessed high levels of challenge and excitement among the contestants who presented a strong performance that reflected their physical readiness and sportsmanship.

The tournament witnessed the coronation of the winners in several categories distributed over the days of competition. The first day included competitions in the professional women’s singles category, the women’s singles category – amateurs, for government departments and institutions, in addition to the junior girls category under 16 years of age.

The second day witnessed professional men’s singles competitions, the men’s singles category – amateurs for government departments and institutions, in addition to the junior category under 16 years of age.

On the third and final day, competitions for professional men’s teams and professional women’s teams were held, which concluded the championship competitions amid an enthusiastic atmosphere and great interaction from the participants and the audience.

The conclusion of the tournament confirmed its success as one of the most interactive and exciting events of the sports tournament, as it succeeded in attracting wide participation and creating a distinctive sporting atmosphere within this year’s tournament program.
