المملكة: Within 18 minutes.. a medical team in Mecca ends a resident’s suffering from a severe heart attack

A specialized medical team has succeeded in Al Noor Specialized Hospital, member Heart.
As soon as the patient arrived at the emergency department suffering from severe chest pain and shortness of breath, the medical staff began conducting the necessary tests and an ECG, which in turn confirmed the occurrence of a stroke that required immediate transfer to the operating room.
Record speed of response
The medical team was able to make the decision to intervene and transfer the patient to the cardiac catheterization unit in a record time of no more than 18 minutes since his admission to the hospital, as the therapeutic catheterization revealed a complete blockage in the artery.
Thanks to the efficient performance, a stent was installed in the affected artery to restore cardiac perfusion in an operation that took 47 minutes under the supervision of a cardiac catheterization consultant, after which the patient’s condition stabilized and he was transferred to medical care for observation.

The Makkah Al-Mukarramah Health Assembly confirmed that this medical success reflects the high readiness of its health facilities and the ability of its staff to deal with critical cases in accordance with the highest international standards.
The Assembly explained that Reducing the time for diagnosis and making treatment decisions represents a decisive factor in saving lives and reducing serious complications resulting from heart attacks, which reflects the continuous development in the quality of health services provided to citizens and residents.
