Zayed National Museum offers "Eid joy" Celebrating the Year of the Family during Eid al-Fitr

Abu Dhabi, 16 March / WAM / In celebration of Eid Al Fitr, Zayed National Museum, the national museum of the United Arab Emirates, presents the “Eid Joy” event, which is an interactive community program that celebrates the Year of the Family 2026, and brings together families and members of the local community, residents and visitors, through cultural performances, workshops, interactive experiences, and interactive activities inspired by Emirati heritage within the museum’s galleries and public spaces.

The program, which highlights the values ​​of solidarity and interconnectedness between family members, includes a group of cultural and interactive activities inspired by Emirati traditions, including traditional performing arts performances such as Al-Ayyala, Al-Harbiyah and Al-Habban, in addition to live performances by Emirati practitioners, including falconry, weaving, and perfume making.

Visitors can also participate in interactive workshops and creative activities, try traditional games, and attend documentary and cinematic film screenings that celebrate the role of the family in preserving memory and preserving heritage and traditions across generations.

The program also offers an interactive cooking experience inspired by traditional Emirati flavours, in addition to memories corners that allow visitors to document their moments inspired by the Eid atmosphere.

On March 21, the Visions Without Borders program will present its first sessions designed for visitors of people of determination with visual impairments and their companions, followed by an interactive workshop to explore the concept of the Sana’ and its importance in Emirati heritage, and the traditions of hospitality in the United Arab Emirates, while the Sensory Trips Program for People of Determination will organize on the next day a tour and interactive workshops during which participants will design Eid greeting cards.
