"Starring Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed" Its activities conclude with the crowning of football, volleyball, cricket and padel champions

Abu Dhabi, March 18 / WAM / The activities of the first edition of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Ramadan Championship – Al Wathba 2026 concluded yesterday evening, with the crowning of the winners of the football, volleyball, cricket and padel competitions.
The tournament was organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Cabinet, at the headquarters of the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, during the period from February 23 to March 17, with the participation of more than ten thousand male and female athletes in 16 competitions. It is considered the largest sporting event in the country during the month of Ramadan, with financial prizes amounting to 10 million dirhams.
The winners were crowned by His Excellency Humaid Saeed Amer Al Neyadi, Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Office, His Excellency Mohammed Saif Al Neyadi, Director of the Sheikh Zayed Festival, His Excellency Arif Al Awani, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and a number of sports and community figures.
The closing ceremony also included a ceremony honoring sponsors, work teams, and volunteers, in addition to holding draws for major valuable prizes for the fans who attended the closing events in large numbers.
The closing day witnessed the organization of three final matches, where the Khalifa Foundation team was crowned champion of the football competition after defeating the National Archives and Library team in the final 3-1, and the Salisbury team won the bronze medal by defeating the Bolivia team 4-1.
The volleyball competitions resulted in the MIH team winning the title after defeating the Emirates Stars team in the final match 2-1, and the Manama team won the bronze medal by defeating the Emirates 2 team, in two sets to none.
For its part, the Berets team won the cricket competition title by defeating the BCG team in the final match, after strong competitions in events that witnessed a large audience attendance, and third place went to the Shawwal United team.
