Sharjah Police handles 40,000 calls during the depression

As part of its continued readiness to enhance rapid response and ensure the safety of community members and their property, the Sharjah Police General Command received 40,647 calls, and were answered to the call centers 999 for emergency cases and 901 for non-emergency cases, during the weather depression that the country recently witnessed.
The Director of the Operations Center Department at Sharjah Police, Brigadier General Muhammad Rahma Al Ghazal, explained that the Central Operations Room dealt with 33,693 calls via the 999 number designated for emergency cases, and 6,954 calls via the 901 number designated for non-emergency cases and service inquiries, according to the highest standards of efficiency and speed of response to ensure the provision of security services with high efficiency.
Brigadier General Al-Ghazal confirmed that the Operations Center dealt with incoming reports according to an integrated operational system that relies on the speed of receiving and analyzing reports and directing the competent authorities to deal with them with high efficiency. This contributes to reducing the effects of the weather condition and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic in various regions of the emirate.
The Sharjah Police General Command confirmed the deployment of its security and traffic patrols on main roads, intersections, and vital areas, in addition to monitoring the field situation around the clock, in coordination and integration with strategic partners and concerned authorities. This enhanced the speed of response to emergency situations, and the immediate handling of incoming reports according to the highest standards of readiness.
The Sharjah Police General Command called on community members to exercise caution and caution during weather fluctuations, adhere to safety guidelines while driving, and do not hesitate to contact the 999 call center for emergency cases, and the 901 call center for non-emergency cases.
