The Head of State and the President of the European Council discuss the dangerous repercussions of the military escalation in the region

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a phone call from the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, during which they discussed developments in the situation in the region in light of the military escalation it is witnessing, and its repercussions on regional and global security and peace, in addition to its dangerous effects on the security of international navigation and the global economy.

The call also touched on the ongoing Iranian terrorist aggression against the UAE and countries in the region, which targets civilians and civilian facilities and infrastructure.

Antonio Costa condemned the terrorist aggression because it constitutes a violation of the sovereignty of states and international laws and an undermining of regional and international peace and security.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Antonio Costa discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work between the UAE, the European Union and its countries, and opportunities to expand its horizons at all levels, in a way that enhances common interests and benefits everyone.
