“Higher Education” announces the extension of distance learning until April 17

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in coordination with the Council of Education, Human Development and Society, announced the extension of distance learning studies in higher education institutions in the country, for an additional two weeks, until April 17, 2026, with the continued application of in-person education to priority programs that require physical attendance, according to what was stated in the circular issued by the Ministry in this regard, while emphasizing the necessity of adhering to all approved security and safety measures to protect students and academic staff.

The Ministry called on higher education institutions to follow developments and enhance coordination with the competent authorities, at the local level, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of the educational process. It also stressed the importance of the responsibility of higher education institutions in maintaining the quality of learning outcomes and academic evaluation standards.

The Ministry indicated that the situation will be re-evaluated on a weekly basis, and that any developments will be announced through the channels approved by the Ministry.
