المملكة: 5 awareness and guidance workshops at the World of Plants and Flowers Festival in Awamiyah

Launch Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Sharqia, with Al-Rams Project in Awamiyah, 5 awareness and guidance workshops within the first “World of Plants and Flowers” festival, with the participation of 35 corners, to promote the culture of home agriculture and preserve Qatif Oasis.
The educational and agricultural event aimed to support community initiatives and the participation of productive families.
The Director of the Agriculture Department at the Ministry’s branch, Eng. Walid Al-Shuwaird, explained that the festival, which lasts for five days, focuses in its first edition on the guidance aspect by providing specialized workshops to educate visitors on the basics of agriculture inside and outside the home.
Waste Recycling
Al-Shuwaird added that the programs The training includes educating people about the mechanisms of recycling agricultural waste using the latest methods, to ensure maximum benefit from it in the home environment and achieving sustainability.
Al-Shuwaird explained that the workshops also address how to care for trees, and the safe and deliberate use of pesticides, whether to combat insects or diseases, in a way that ensures the safety of the environment and the health of consumers.
Guiding farmers
The Director of the Agriculture Department revealed that the festival halls support these awareness trends by embracing more than 35 A corner for seedlings and flowers, with an active presence of the extension unit concerned with guiding farmers and visitors.
He pointed out that the field guides provide detailed explanations about the best ways to acquire seedlings, determine the appropriate times for planting them, and explain the mechanisms for preserving them so that they remain evergreen in various places.
