Hakimi’s monthly salary (1.1 million euros)… List of the highest-paid players in the French League

Paris Saint-Germain international striker Ousmane Dembélé and his Spanish coach, Luis Enrique, will receive the highest monthly salary in the French Football League in 2026, with a total estimated at 1.5 million euros and 1 million euros, respectively, according to an investigation published by the newspaper “L’Equipe” on Thursday.

The sports newspaper reported that the 13 highest salaries in the league are all paid by European champion Paris Saint-Germain, from Dembélé to international goalkeeper Luca Chevalier (500,000 euros total per month).

Brazilian defender Marquinhos (1.12 million euros), Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi (1.1 million euros), and French defender Luca Hernandez (1.1 million euros) are also paid more than one million euros ($1.15 million) per month.

The Danish international midfielder at Olympique Marseille, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, is the highest-paid outside of Paris, as his total monthly salary is estimated at 500,000 euros, ahead of his English teammates Mason Greenwood and Geoffrey Kondogbia from the Central African Republic, who earn 450,000 euros in total per month, which is the same amount received by Saint-Germain’s Ukrainian international defender Ilya Zabarnyi and Lyon player Corentin Tolisso, according to the investigation.

In terms of coaches, Luis Enrique tops the list by a large margin ahead of Lyon’s Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca, who receives a total monthly salary of 350,000 euros, compared to Marseille’s new Senegalese coach, Habib Bey, who earns 230,000 euros per month.

The lowest paid coach is Benoit Tavinot, who earns a total of 25,000 euros per month in Metz, according to L’Equipe.

On average, Paris Saint-Germain pays its players a total monthly salary of 650,000 euros (compared to 647,000 last year), ahead of Olympique Marseille with 300,000 euros (compared to 250,000 in 2025) and Monaco with 140,000 euros (as in last year), according to L’Equipe.
