"Presite" Promoting digital transformation in Africa through new partnerships with three countries

ABU DHABI, 2nd April, 2018 (WAM) – Brisight, a company specializing in artificial intelligence, announced the signing of separate memorandums of understanding with the governments of Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, and Gabon, to support national digital transformation initiatives in these countries.

The three new memorandums are expected to strengthen Brisight’s presence and expand its growing operations across the African continent.

Through this cooperation, Brisite will work with national institutions in the three countries to design and deploy smart digital systems that integrate data, analytics, and automation into public sector operations, thus contributing to strengthening the digital infrastructure and improving the efficiency of government service delivery.

In Côte d’Ivoire, Presight strengthened its partnership with the government by signing two memorandums of understanding with the Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitization, and the Ministry of State, Public Service and Modernization of Administration.

The two agreements will contribute to developing advanced digital platforms that help government institutions manage data more effectively, improve coordination between agencies, and enhance the efficiency of public administration, supporting the country’s ambition to become a regional center for digital innovation.

Her Excellency Anne-Désiré Oluto, Minister of State, Public Service and Modernization of Administration in Ivory Coast, said that this strategic cooperation represents a pivotal turning point in the process of digital transformation of our public administration, as it establishes the foundations of a long-term partnership that looks firmly to the future. Through this alliance, Ivory Coast is preparing to become the leading center for artificial intelligence and technical innovation in West Africa, and she praised Brissayt’s efforts in sharing its advanced technological expertise.

She added: “Together, we are working to build a modern, data-based, citizen-centric administration that embodies a model of high performance, transparency, and forward-looking governance.”

Brisite signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Digital Transition, Posts and Electronic Communications in Burkina Faso, in support of the digital transformation agenda in the country and to enhance the national digital infrastructure.

This initiative will examine the deployment of digital systems powered by artificial intelligence designed to improve the delivery of public services, enhance financial transparency and treasury management, and establish a comprehensive cybersecurity framework to protect vital national systems.

This cooperation also includes programs to support local innovation and talent development, including facilitating the establishment of the “Artificial Intelligence Expert Preparation Program” to train engineers, and the establishment of the Ouaga Granite Valley Center, a national center designed to accelerate the growth of the artificial intelligence startup ecosystem in Burkina Faso.

Her Excellency Dr. Aminata Zerbo/Sabani, Minister of Digital Transition, Posts and Electronic Communications of Burkina Faso, said that BriSight’s leadership in the field of artificial intelligence makes it the ideal partner to support our vision of digital sovereignty, and this cooperation reflects Burkina Faso’s commitment to building a safe, inclusive and innovation-based digital future that empowers citizens, strengthens institutions, and opens new economic horizons.

Most recently, in February 2026, Brisight signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Gabon, as part of renewing an existing memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Innovation, in line with the shared commitment to maintaining and accelerating the momentum of digital transformation in the country, and modernizing public services using artificial intelligence.

In this regard, Dr. Adel Al-Sharji, Chief Operating Officer at Brisight, said that governments across Africa are increasingly exploring how they can benefit from artificial intelligence to support economic development, strengthen institutions, and modernize public services.

He added: “At PreSight, our work is focused on designing and deploying intelligent systems that integrate data, automation, and advanced analytics directly into the operational environments that governments rely on every day. Our partnerships with these governments in Africa reflect a shared ambition to build national digital platforms that operate at scale, strengthen institutional capabilities, and enable faster and more informed decision-making across various government systems. By working closely with our partners, we aim to support a sustainable digital transformation that strengthens institutions and delivers tangible benefits to citizens.”

These agreements build on BriSight’s growing presence in Africa, where the company continues to drive AI and digital transformation initiatives in collaboration with governments and institutions.

BriSight is also moving forward to develop partnerships, pilot projects and digital innovation programs in markets including Angola, Republic of Congo, Gambia, Mauritius, Seychelles, Tanzania, Zambia and Uganda.

This expansion comes at a time when artificial intelligence continues to attract significant global investments in Africa. The African Development Bank Group and the United Nations Development Program recently launched a $10 billion initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of responsible artificial intelligence and promoting the growth of the inclusive digital economy across the continent.

This comes as a continuation of the “Artificial Intelligence for Development” initiative announced by the UAE in 2025, with funding of one billion dollars to support artificial intelligence projects in African countries.

Through its growing network of partnerships and initiatives in a number of African markets, PreSite continues to advance its mission of developing smart systems that help governments modernize infrastructure, strengthen institutions, and build more resilient and future-ready societies.
