4 clubs competing for the Emirates Women’s Basketball Cup title

Dubai, April 2, 2018 (WAM) – The Emirates Basketball Federation announced the adoption of the system and schedule of matches for the Emirates Women’s Cup for the 2025-2026 sports season, with the participation of 4 clubs: Sharjah Women’s Sports Club, Al Dhaid Women’s Sports Club, Khor Fakkan Women’s Sports Club, and Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy.
The championship competitions are scheduled to begin on April 11, with a knockout system of two round-robin matches in the semi-finals, with the final match being held in one match to determine the champion.
According to the schedule announced today, in the semi-finals, Sharjah Women’s Sports Club will meet with Al Dhaid Women’s Sports Club, while the second confrontation brings together Khor Fakkan Women’s Sports Club with Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy, with the return matches being held on April 18.
Qualification is decided according to the sum of the results of the home and away matches, where the two matches are counted as one confrontation of 80 minutes, and in the event of a tie in the total points, additional times are used to decide the result, according to the regulations of the International Basketball Federation.
The Federation confirmed the possibility of amending match dates in the event of teams or clubs’ engagement with external participation, or for television broadcast purposes, in line with the approved competition regulations.
