Sharjah is champion of the Youth Handball League for the ninth consecutive season

The Sharjah Club team was crowned champion of the Youth Handball League for the sports season 2025-2026, continuing its dominance of the competition by winning the ninth title in a row, in an achievement that reflects the team’s stability and continued technical excellence.

The coronation came after Sharjah’s victory over its guest, Maliha Club, with a score of 41-21, in the match that was held on Thursday evening at the Sharjah Club Hall in the postponed seventeenth round competitions, so that the team ended its campaign with a full mark with 48 points without any loss.

Engineer Saud Ibrahim Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Handball Federation, crowned the team with the championship cup, in the presence of Mohammed Saleh Al Ali, Head of the Group Sports Department at the Sharjah Club, where the players and the technical and administrative staff received gold medals in a festive atmosphere.

The new title confirmed Sharjah’s superiority in a season that witnessed the participation of nine teams: Sharjah, Al-Nasr, Al-Wasl, Mleiha, Kalba, Dibba Al-Hisn, Shabab Al-Ahli, Al-Bataeh, and Al-Dhaid, as the team presented an outstanding performance throughout the tournament and well deserved the coronation.

At the end of the competitions, the Al-Nasr Club team came in second place with 36 points after defeating Al-Wasl Club with a score of 50-43, while Al-Wasl came in third with 33 points.

Abdul Salam Rabie Al Muhairbi, Secretary-General of the Federation, accompanied by Rahma Ghaleb Al-Mansouri, a member of the Board of Directors, and Dr. Mona Ibrahim Al-Raisi, crowned Al-Nasr with silver medals, and Al-Wasl with bronze medals, in the presence of Dr. Faisal Hussein Al-Tawash.

The tournament, which was held in a two-legged league system during the period from September 8, 2025 until April 2, 2026, concluded with the following final standings: Sharjah first, Al-Nasr second, Al-Wasl third, Mleiha fourth, Kalba fifth, Dibba Al-Hisn sixth, Al-Bataeh seventh, Shabab Al-Ahly eighth, and Al-Dhaid ninth.
