Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority launches the “Community Responder” application

The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, in cooperation with the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, launched the “Community Responder” application through official electronic stores, as part of the second phase of the “Our Community is Ready” campaign, in a step that embodies the activation of the volunteer work system, and reflects the trend towards enhancing community readiness and raising the efficiency of responding to emergency situations, in a way that supports the protection of lives and property.
The launch of the application comes as one of the main outputs of the “General Framework for Joint Action for Community Participation/Volunteering for Civil Defense Activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi” document, which was developed in partnership with the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Community Contributions Authority – Ma’an, and the Emirates Foundation – Sanid Programme, in addition to being one of the outputs of cooperation with the “We Are All Police” initiative, within the framework of integrated government efforts to establish an integrated institutional model that organizes volunteer work and enhances the integration of roles among the concerned authorities. Within a sustainable and effective system.
The application is a smart platform to empower volunteers and qualify them according to approved training frameworks, which contributes to enhancing the speed of response and coordinating efforts with the competent authorities, and raising the efficiency of dealing with various accidents and emergencies, which reflects the Authority’s adoption of the best international practices in involving the community as an active partner in the safety system.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority confirmed that the launch of the application embodies a proactive vision based on empowering community members and promoting a culture of prevention and shared responsibility, calling on community members to register and join the application, and to contribute to supporting an integrated system that enhances security and safety, and establishes the values ​​of giving and volunteering as an integral part of the community identity in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
