Intensive training programs

This stage includes the implementation of intensive training programs at the level of cities and governorates, supervised by (778) male and female teachers who have been prepared and qualified in advance, as the training is carried out in (47) cities and governorates for five days, six hours a day, within the framework of preparing students. And qualify them for advanced competitions.

She explained "talent" Those who qualified for this stage represent (16) educational districts, in addition to the two general departments of education at the Royal Commission in Jubail and Yanbu, distributed among the six Olympiad specializations, with (5,830) male and female students in mathematics, (5,057) in informatics, (2,220) in biology, (2,218) in physics, (2,102) in science, and (2,061) in science. The second stage concludes with the public administrations competition test on Thursday (9) April, which is held in person at the headquarters of the public departments of education, where each education department works, based on the results of the test, to form its initial team of distinguished students, in preparation for the third phase, which includes training the departments and tests for the national teams.

In its first edition, the Olympiad recorded the participation of (99,179) male and female students, representing (8,356) schools in (47) cities and governorates, distributed among (16) educational regions, in a scene that reflects the broad participation base and the presence of scientific ambition among students.

"We rise" The first and largest annual national competition specialized in the fields of science and mathematics, targeting students in the first intermediate grade until the first grade of secondary school, and passing through gradual stages starting from school, then at the level of education departments, all the way to the national team competition and the Olympic finals in Riyadh. With the aim of discovering talented people, empowering them, and preparing them to compete in international scientific Olympiads.

The Olympiad aims to expand the circle of discovering gifted students in general education, localize training in Olympiad sciences in education departments, and increase the number of beneficiaries of specific programs, in addition to developing scientific inclinations, developing the performance of teachers, and enriching the curricula with issues that develop higher-order thinking skills, in a way that enhances students’ readiness to compete globally.
