“The confusion of the beginning and the end” deprives unity of “victory”

Mistakes in the beginning and end cost the Al-Wahda team the loss of a valuable victory, after it settled for a 2-2 draw against its host Al-Nassr, in the match that brought them together yesterday evening at Al Maktoum Stadium, in the 21st round of the Professional League, in front of about 1,500 spectators. “Al-Anabi” entered the match in a state of confusion, which was evident by conceding an early goal after only 127 seconds, signed by Zayed Al-Zaabi, to be recorded as the fastest goal in the history of the two teams’ confrontations in the league. Despite the initial shock, Al-Wahda quickly succeeded in equalizing through Omar Khribin (18), before the same player returned and created the goal for Christian Benteke (54), putting his team in a comfortable position to decide the match.
The performance of “The Excellencies” declined significantly in the last minutes, coinciding with a numerical deficiency, after Favor Ogbo was sent off, so the home owners took advantage of the confusion and snatched the equalizer through Chikna Doumbia, in the eighth minute of stoppage time (90+8).
With this result, Al-Wahda raised its score to 35 points in fourth place, while Al-Nasr reached 28 points in sixth place.
