Sharjah and Dubai Police were crowned with the kumite titles in the Emirates Karate Cup

Sharjah, April 5 / WAM / Sharjah Sports Club dominated the men’s kumite competitions in the final round of the Emirates Karate Cup (Individual Kumite) Championship for the adult category, which was held yesterday at the Sharjah Individual Games Hall with the participation of 45 players representing 7 clubs from various parts of the country.

Sharjah was crowned first place after a distinguished performance in the men’s competitions, while Dubai Police topped the women’s kumite competitions, after a strong technical level that gave its players the top spot in the standings.

The competitions were attended by Major General (M) Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, President of the Emirati and Asian Federations and Vice President of the International Karate Federation, and he crowned the winners, in the presence of Engineer Sulaiman Al Hajri, Member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Sports Club and Head of the Individual Games Department, and members of the Board of Directors of the Karate Federation, Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Competitions Committee, Ahmed Salem Basalib, Vice Chairman of the National Teams Committee, the Federation’s expert technical director, Hisham Sari, and Jaber Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Referees Committee.

Al Razouqi stressed the importance of tournaments in refining players’ skills and discovering promising talents that represent the future of Emirati karate.
