Launching the “e-commerce” service through the Ajman One application

Ajman, April 6, 2017 – The Department of Economic Development in Ajman announced the launch of the “e-commerce” service, as part of its continuing efforts to develop the digital services system and facilitate doing business, in keeping with the shift towards the digital economy and supporting entrepreneurs and project owners in the emirate.
The department explained that the service is available through the “Ajman One” application as part of its service package and allows customers to complete their procedures easily and quickly, which enhances the user experience and increases the efficiency of providing digital government services.
The “e-commerce” service allows commercial establishments to engage in e-commerce activity by buying and selling goods or providing services via digital means and platforms, including electronic stores, smart phone applications, and selling accounts via social media platforms, while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
The Department of Economic Development confirmed that the service is available to citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates and includes all non-high-risk activities, which contributes to expanding the scope of practicing e-commerce in a legal and orderly manner, enhancing confidence in digital transactions, and supporting the growth of small and medium enterprises.
The launch of the service through “Ajman One” comes within the department’s plan to provide integrated digital services that reduce time and effort for customers, and allow transactions to be completed from anywhere and at any time, in line with the Ajman government’s directions towards more flexible and efficient services.
The department invited those wishing to benefit from the “e-commerce” service to apply through the Ajman One application and view the details through official channels, stressing that it will continue to develop its services in a way that enhances the competitiveness of the business environment in the Emirate of Ajman.
