The conclusion of the Elite Junior Badminton Championship with the participation of 432 male and female players
Dubai, April 6 / WAM / The Elite Junior Badminton Championship competitions concluded yesterday at the Fire Rally Academy headquarters in Dubai, which began on March 28, with the participation of 432 male and female players.
The categories participating in the championship competitions organized by the UAE Badminton Federation included ages ranging from 9 years to 19 years, with the participation of male and female players, both male and female, who competed in singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions for boys and girls.
Salem Al Mazrouei, Vice President of the UAE Badminton Federation, stressed that holding the tournament represents a unique opportunity to discover talent, especially those who play the game in private clubs and academies, which contributes to focusing on the talented among them and including them in the federation’s various programmes, pointing out that the tournament comes within the framework of efforts to develop the base of emerging players, and strengthen Dubai’s position as a regional center for badminton.
