"Dubai International Arabian Horse" The UAE’s leadership strengthens it as a global center for Arabian horse beauty

Dubai, April 6, WAM / The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship has established its position as one of the most prominent Arabian horse beauty championships in the world, with the conclusion of its 23rd edition yesterday, which was organized over three days at the Dubai World Trade Center, with the participation of 155 horses from 12 countries, competing for financial prizes amounting to $4 million, in a new confirmation of the broad international presence and strength of competition.

The outcomes of the tournament reflected a number of gains, most notably strengthening the UAE’s position as a global center for Arabian horse sports, consolidating international confidence in its organizational capabilities, in addition to supporting the development of local production and raising the level of competition, in line with ambitions towards continuing leadership on the global stage.

It is noteworthy that the championship titles were distributed among a number of stalls and owners, in an indicator that reflects the high level of competition in the various categories, as the closing day witnessed the participation of 42 horses in six main races, while the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud emerged by winning 3 medals, most notably the Golden Cup for the stallion “De Sirage”, which was crowned champion of the main race.

His Excellency Sultan Al Yahyai, Member of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Championship and Director General of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, confirmed that the Championship has continued its development since its inception, supported by integrated efforts between government agencies, the organizing committee and the participants, which contributed to consolidating its position among the most important international championships. He pointed out that its continuity over the course of 23 editions reflects its success in attracting elite horses annually, pointing out that the advanced organization, in terms of the readiness of facilities, attracting elite judges and ensuring Refereeing integrity, enhancing international confidence in the tournament.

For his part, Adel Al Falasi, Executive Director of the Championship, explained that the current edition represented a new stage in the event’s journey, after achieving organizational, technical and public success, noting that the international attendance from 12 countries with the participation of elite horses reflects the great confidence in the Championship and its global status.

For his part, Engineer Mohammed Al-Tawhidi, General Supervisor and Director General of the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, confirmed that the championship represents a global platform for qualifying and advancing horses to advanced levels, thanks to its high technical standards and attracting world champions, pointing out that the participation of the Dubai Stud with horses such as “De Siraj”, “De Burkan” and “De Shahna” reflects the strength of local production and its ability to compete internationally.

He added that the horses of the Emirates and the Gulf are today among the best in the world, in light of the continuous development in production and breeding programs, which is reflected in the results of the championship and the participation of the most prominent owners and breeders.

At the owners’ level, Ahmed Saeed Mohammed Al Hameli stressed that winning the title of yearling colts championship represents the result of confidence in local production, pointing to the development of levels of care and preparation, with the support of wise leadership, which contributed to raising the level of competition.

For his part, Ahmed Al Zaabi, representative of Al Jazeel Stud, confirmed that the championship receives wide attention from owners and breeders, because of the high artistic value it represents, in light of the strong competition witnessed in the championship rounds.
