The IAEA warns of attacks near the Iranian Bushehr nuclear plant

The Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, warned Monday that the attacks occurring near the Iranian Bushehr plant “pose a real threat to nuclear safety and must be stopped.”

Grossi said in a statement that the attacks near the station “could cause a serious radiation accident with serious consequences for people and the environment in Iran and abroad.” He added that one of the recent strikes occurred only 75 meters from the station wall.
