Pakistan: The ceasefire between Washington and Tehran will be implemented in Lebanon as well
He said Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the United States, Iran, and allied countries and groups agreed to ceasefire everywhere, including Lebanon, after its government’s mediation to stop the war that began on February 28.
Shehbaz Ali said in a post on the X application today, Wednesday: "I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran, the United States of America and their allied parties have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere, including Lebanon and elsewhere, with immediate effect.".
He added that the capital Pakistani Islamabad will receive delegations from the two countries on Friday to conduct negotiations aimed at reaching a final agreement.
He continued: "We hope that the Islamabad talks will succeed in achieving sustainable peace, and we hope to share more good news in the coming days"

Start date for talks
Iran announced the start of negotiations with the American side to end the war on Friday in Islamabad, to continue for two weeks, shortly after Donald Trump announced the suspension of his threat to launch a devastating attack on the infrastructure of the Islamic Republic.
A statement issued by the Supreme National Security Council of Iran stated: "It was decided at the highest level that Iran would engage, for a period of two weeks, in negotiations with the American side in Islamabad".
He pointed out that "This does not mean the end of the war".
