The University of Sharjah graduated a number of students with the Leadership Diploma in Medical Education

Sharjah, April 14 / WAM / The University of Sharjah celebrated the graduation of a number of students from the Professional Diploma in Leadership in Medical Education, which was organized by the University’s Medical Education Center in cooperation with the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.

His Excellency Dr. Essam El-Din Ajami, Director of the University, confirmed that this program embodies a practical model of partnership between higher education institutions and the health services sector, and reflects a shared commitment to developing national competencies in the field of integrated health care. He pointed out that the program focused on developing leadership thinking skills and preparing participants to be trainers for their colleagues, which contributes to expanding its impact within the work environment, stressing the University’s keenness to provide educational and training programs that are related to the needs of society and support the state’s priorities.

He appreciated the support of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, for his role in strengthening the university’s progress and national programmes.

His Excellency Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, Executive Director of the Dubai Ambulance Services Corporation, expressed his pride in the partnership with the University of Sharjah, describing it as a leading national model in the integration of academic knowledge and practical experience.

Dr. Mohamed Hassan Taha, Director of the Medical Education Center at the University of Sharjah, explained that the program came in line with the strategic directions of the center, and based on a careful analysis of training needs, ensuring that its outputs are compatible with the requirements of work in the emergency medical services sector.

Manal Khamis Al Ali, representative of the program graduates, confirmed that the program constituted an integrated educational experience that contributed to refining their skills and enhancing their readiness for field work, noting that what was achieved represents the beginning of a greater responsibility in supporting and developing the ambulance system.
