Abu Dhabi Police warns against fake links in search engines
Abu Dhabi, April 17 / WAM / Abu Dhabi Police called on members of the community to be careful when using search engines, and not to be led by fake links related to consumer protection or other government agencies that may appear in the search results, stressing the necessity of relying on the official and approved applications and websites of government and private agencies when requesting services and information or making purchases, because of this important role in preventing electronic fraud.
She confirmed that fraudsters exploit misleading links to deceive users and steal their personal and banking information in a professional manner by luring the victim, calling for verifying the authenticity of the links and their source before entering any sensitive information.
