The judo team raises its tally to 4 medals at the conclusion of the Asian Individual Championship in Beijing

BEIJING, 18 APRIL/WAM/ Our national judo team concluded its participation in the Asian Individual Championship today by adding two silver medals, raising its tally to 4 medals, 3 silver and 1 bronze, in addition to a number of qualifying points for the 2028 Olympics.
The player, Eliza Litev, won silver in the under-78 kg category after losing in the last 30 seconds to the Chinese champion, Wade Hongta, after a strong fight, while the player, Dhafar Kossov, added the second silver at the end of the under-100 kg competition, by losing to the Bahraini Sadruddin Sayed after his distinguished results in the qualifiers.
Dr. Nasser Al-Tamimi, member of the National Olympic Committee and treasurer of the International Federation, participated in crowning the winners at the conclusion of the competitions.
On the other hand, the Board of Directors of the Judo Federation, headed by His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Dari, approved the participation of our national team in the Asian Mixed Championship, which is organized by the Chinese Federation under the supervision of the International Federation, tomorrow (Sunday) at the Ordos Hall, and 10 countries are participating in its activities so far.
The federation announced the participation of 6 male and three female players in different weights: Naji Yazbek and Muhammad Bey, under 73 kg, Omar Gad and Aram Goorjian, under 90 kg, Dhofar Kosouf, and Omar Marouf, over 90 kg, Bashirat Kharudi, under 52 kg, Maitha Al Neyadi, under 57 kg, and Eliza Litev, under 78 kg.
