"Emirates judo" Participate in a tournament "Dushanbe" Grand slam

Abu Dhabi, 19 April / WAM / The Board of Directors of the Judo Federation approved the participation of our national team in the Dushanbe “Grand Slam” tournament in Tajikistan, from April 30 to next May 3, with two male and female players: Karim Abdel Latif, under 73 kg, Amr Gad, under 81 kg, and Eliza Letiev, under 78 kg.
The Federation confirmed in a statement that the draw will be held on April 30th via video technology, in preparation for the start of the competitions the next day in the Tennis Palace Hall in Dushanbe.
On the other hand, today our national team concluded its participation in the Asian Mixed Championship, organized by the Chinese Federation under the supervision of the International Federation, at the Ordos Hall, with the participation of 10 countries, achieving fourth place after losing to the Kyrgyz national team.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Darei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Judo Federation, praised the positive participation of the team in the Asian Individual Championship and won 4 medals, including 3 silver and a bronze, in addition to a number of qualifying points for the 2028 Olympics. He said that the male and female players entered into an atmosphere of strong battles after gradual stages of preparation during the last period, and before an important stage in the upcoming tournament in Tajikistan.
