Wolverhampton is the first to be relegated in the English Premier League

Wolverhampton has become the first team to be relegated to the second level (Championship) out of three, after West Ham tied with its neighbor Crystal Palace 0-0 on Monday at the end of the thirty-third stage of the English Football League.

After seven consecutive seasons in the Premier League, Wolverhampton will play in the Championship after being 16 points behind West Ham in last place, five stages before the end of the season.

The struggle will be intense in the final stages to avoid catching up with them, as West Ham is only two points ahead of its neighbor, Tottenham, eighteenth, and in front of it is Nottingham Forest, only three points behind it, while Burnley appears to be on its way to relegation, as it occupies nineteenth place, 13 points behind the safety zone.
