المملكة: The King Salman Relief Center lays the foundation stone for three vital projects in the water sector in Marib


Center King Salman Relief and humanitarian works are the cornerstone of three vital projects In the water sector in the city of Ma’rib, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, as part of the program to improve access to safe and clean water services supplies in Yemen.
The projects are divided into 3 main sectors, the first is the expansion of the Suwayda water project north of the city by digging a new well in the area "Inclination"And the construction of a ground concrete tank with a capacity of 500 cubic metres, along with extending an internal distribution network with a length exceeding 14 kilometers to supply the camps and neighboring service facilities.
The second project includes supplying the Bin Abboud neighborhood with water through the construction of a concrete tower tank with a height of 21 meters and a capacity of 200 cubic metres, and the implementation of a modern internal distribution network with a length of 13.5 kilometers of polyethylene pipes.
The third project includes expanding water services in the tenth sector of Al Jufaina camp, through Constructing a ground concrete tank with a capacity of 500 cubic meters, and extending an internal distribution network with a length of 16 kilometers.
In addition to establishing 3 water desalination and purification plants in accordance with approved health standards to ensure the quality of drinking water in those communities.

Sustainable water services

These projects aim to strengthen the infrastructure for sustainable water services in the displacement camps and residential neighborhoods in the city of Ma’rib, in a way that meets the needs of more than 50,000 displaced individuals and the host community, as part of the response. Due to the high population density witnessed by the governorate.

The Undersecretary of Ma’rib Governorate, Dr. Abd Rabbuh Muftah said that this package of projects represents a qualitative leap in the path of providing safe water, praising the support of the Kingdom, represented by the King Salman Relief Center, in alleviating the suffering of the displaced, who represent more than 3 million individuals hosted by the governorate.
This comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm King Salman Relief Center, to support the water and environmental sanitation sector, and alleviate the suffering of our brothers in Yemen.
