In support of food security And to protect crops, the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases “Weqa” in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region participated in an awareness pavilion within the activities of the 15th Mango Festival in Al-Qunfudhah Governorate.
The office of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Al-Qunfudhah Governorate organized this strategic event The pivotal roles it plays in protecting natural resources from biological risks.
The center’s specialists in the governorate provided a comprehensive field explanation to the visitors, during which they reviewed modern preventive methods for protecting agricultural crops and livestock.
The active participation focused on raising the level of awareness of sound practices, to reduce the risks of pests that may threaten agricultural and animal production lines.
The center explained that this awareness comes As an extension of its ongoing efforts to implement preventive and curative operations in various governorates of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region.
